That is so up my Carnaby Street it's blocking the road - every pic would look fab on a t-shirt
So beautiful. Very mod, but I think the aesthetics are still really pleasing today. Too bad the artist is unknown!
this is literally the greatest comic i have ever seen.
i am going to spend the rest of my life trying to track down a hard copy.
Looks like it was drawn by manga artist Kiriko Nananan. Amazing!...
The guy who wrote the story is now a -- drum roll, please -- successful psychic. Go ahead, Google his name. I dare you...
Thus fall the mighty 'cause this is an oddball slice of pure 60's comic book nirvana.

I don't believe it's the same fellow. The author of this strip would now be in his 60s, while the Vanity Fair astrologer looks much younger.
The strongest information I have on the artist's identity is French poster artist Michel Quarez, but I have been unable to verify this.
The story was written by the astrologer from Vanity Fair. I wrote him an email and he confirmed it.
He also confirmed that it was indeed French artist Michele Quarez who drew the story. Nice call, Will.
..And great detective work on your part too anonymous... whoever you are!
Thank you so much!

Michel Quarez, born on 28 May, 1938 in Damas (Syria) graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs after having studied at the Fine Arts School of Bordeaux. In 1961, he joined Henryk Tomaszewski in his fine arts studio in Warsaw until 1962. Then, back in France, he became artistic director at the SNIP, the advertising agency of Prouvost, a wool manufacturer in Roubaix where he worked from 1964 to 1966. He then left for New York where he created a comic strip >>Mod Love<<. After having spent 9 months in Manhattan he came back to Paris where he designed « La Vie Privée de Dyane », a comic strip for Citroën.
I have to agree that this is one of the greatest comics I've ever seen. And I haven't even read it yet. Saw it in Trina's book, and just recently in Gravett's book, and am so pleased to see pages from it here!
